Service areas

Roofing across Central Oregon

Based in Bend and working throughout the High Desert.

Bend, OR

Bend is Spey Roofing's home city. We work across the whole of Bend — the older neighborhoods west of the river, the newer subdivisions on the east side, and the shops and offices along the 3rd Street and Century Drive corridors — on roof repair, replacement, metal and composition roofing and maintenance.

Redmond, OR

Redmond is a short drive north of our Bend base, so we cover it for everything from a single leak call to a full tear-off. We work on Redmond's established in-town homes, the newer developments spreading east and south, and light-commercial and shop buildings around the airport and Highway 97 corridor.

Sisters, OR

Sisters sits at the base of the Cascades where the weather turns harder than it does in Bend, and we roof accordingly. We work on in-town homes, cabins and acreage properties around Sisters, and on the shops and buildings in the downtown core.

Sunriver, OR

Sunriver is a forested resort community south of Bend with its own look and its own rules, and we work within both. We handle roof repair, replacement and maintenance on Sunriver homes and vacation rentals, including the coordination that comes with absentee owners and property managers.

La Pine, OR

La Pine is the coldest corner of our service area, and roofs there earn it. We work on La Pine homes, cabins, manufactured homes and outbuildings — repairs, replacements, metal roofing and winter preparation.

Prineville, OR

Prineville is east of the Cascades in the Crooked River valley, with an older housing stock and a growing commercial base. We handle roof repair, replacement, metal and composition roofing for Prineville homeowners and business and ranch property owners.

Madras, OR

Madras anchors the north end of our service area in Jefferson County. We work on Madras homes, farm and ranch outbuildings, and commercial buildings along the Highway 97 corridor.

How do I know if my roof needs repair or replacement?

The deciding factors are the age of the roof, how widespread the damage is, and whether the problems keep coming back. Isolated damage on an otherwise sound roof is usually a repair, while a roof near the end of its life with recurring leaks, widespread material failure, or sagging is usually better replaced. Cost matters too: once repairs start stacking up on an aging roof, replacement often becomes the better value. A professional evaluation is the only reliable way to tell, and plenty of roofs that look bad from the ground are still repairable.

What type of roofing is best for Central Oregon?

There is no single best material here — the right choice depends on your home, your budget, and how the roof is exposed. Metal sheds snow well, holds up to UV and wind, and is noncombustible, which matters in wildfire-prone areas. Composition shingles cost less up front, suit a wide range of home styles, and are straightforward to repair. Roof pitch, architecture, HOA or neighborhood expectations, and how long you plan to stay in the home usually settle the decision.

How often should I have my roof inspected?

Most roofs benefit from a professional inspection about once a year, plus a look after any major weather event. In Central Oregon that usually means checking in the fall before snow arrives and again in spring after freeze-thaw cycles have worked on the roof. Also schedule an inspection any time you see missing shingles, interior water staining, ice buildup at the eaves, or debris on the roof after a windstorm.

How do I request a roofing estimate?

Fill out the estimate form on this site or call the office, and we will set a time to look at the roof. Give us the property address, the best way to reach you, and a short description of what is going on — leak, storm damage, aging roof, new build, or just planning ahead. From there we walk the property, assess the roof, and put together your estimate.

Is Spey Roofing locally owned?

Yes. Spey Roofing is a locally owned Central Oregon roofing company, and the owner stays involved with customers and jobs rather than handing everything to a call center. That means the person who looks at your roof is accountable for the work that happens on it. Being local also means we know how Central Oregon weather actually treats roofs here.

About Spey Roofing

Does Spey Roofing offer warranties?

Yes. Spey Roofing backs its installations with a 20-year workmanship warranty covering our labor. Separately, the roofing materials carry the manufacturer's own warranty, which varies by the product and system you choose — GAF offers a 50-year non-prorated warranty, and IKO options range from 10-year and 15-year out-of-the-box coverage to a limited lifetime/50-year warranty. We will go over the exact workmanship and manufacturer coverage for your selected product before the project starts.

Can I finance a roof replacement?

Yes, a full roof replacement can be financed through our financing partner GoodLeap, as can any project we approve that meets the $5,000 minimum. Terms are typically available from 5 to 15 years, subject to approval and GoodLeap program terms. You can apply online in a few minutes and see your options before committing to anything.
